Welcome to Morningstar Studio!

I have been outside drawing and printing all manner of leaf and bud.  The pastoral landscape that surrounds Sugarloaf is  my inspiration and the art is filled with flowers, trees and views.

We are so lucky to have this wonderful agricultural reserve in Montgomery County.  It allows all  of us to take a short drive and recharge in the  country.

I teach a field art techniques workshop on the Smithsonian at the U.S. Botanic Garden and was invited to teach at Walden Pond last summer.  I love bringing people out into the field and forest and encourage them to stop and sit with our native plants and trees.
